If you are just starting to think about the possibility to monetize your blog, I suggest you start knowing Google Adsense.

Surely you've probably heard of this service.

I must confess that I am not an expert on the subject cream, but some time ago that I decided to join this service, and since then I go searching a bit more about it, because I realized that Adsense offers so many features that end up in confusing a little, especially for those who are "beginner" in the subject "monetization."

For this reason, I decided to treat about Adsense, and share with you some of what I learned about this service.

But I anticipate that there is no miracle formula to make money with blogs.

Using Google Adsense and thought something should be used as an extra income.

Gains will always depend on the quality of content you offer on your blog and especially the type of audience and number of unique visitors daily.

Just because you sign up for Adsense does not mean that your registration is approved. It is up to Google Adsense decide to approve or not.

Registering an account with Google Adsense:

Go to page Google Adsense and click "Join Now".

Enter an email from Gmail (can be the same email you use to access the Blogger dashboard, provided it is gmail)

Fill in all fields correctly. The filling is easy.

It is very important that you provide the correct payee name and address on your application, because after the approval of your AdSense account, when you reach the quota limit gains in your AdSense account, the system sends you Adsense automatically a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that must be entered in your account to keep it active. The PIN system is a form confirming your identity and address and can only be mailed.

If you have any questions regarding registration or other information about Adsense, you can also see the articles published in Official Blog Adsense's own.

On the record I also recommend reading the series: Adsense features.

After completing the registration, wait until you receive an email stating that your account was approved or not.

If approved, you should proceed to implementation phase of Adsense ads on your blog.

I suggest you watch this video which was developed by the staff of Google Adsense. In the video they teach to generate a block of ads to insert into your blog, as the guide how to add advanced reporting, and competitive ad filter.

Understanding How the service works

Before you think will win "a lot of money" with affiliate programs like Adsense, it is good that you understand a little better how this service.

About the ads:

The ads are offered for display in the form of text or images. You can choose to be displayed only text, or you can choose which banners are displayed only, or if you prefer, you can choose to display from both text and images (banners).

From what I understand about the criteria of the service, you can only display 3 banners and 3 link units per blog. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

If you notice, I display two banners on my blog here: one on top of a post and the sidebar. How can the display of three, I still could display a banner over.

At the bottom of the post I chose to show three link units, thus already reached my limit display links.

You can not exceed the maximum views of Adsense ads, otherwise your account may be canceled.

Another very important point: you can not click on the ads you display on your blog, so do not be curious (a), otherwise your account may be canceled.

In short: if you do not follow all the rules set by Google Adsense, they can cancel your account permanently, so you no longer have access to or gains from the service.

More information, go to the article: Defining invalid clicks and click fraud

When choosing the type of ads you will display on your blog, take into account the balance between ads and the amount of unique content and quality of your blog. Check the type of published content that keeps your readers interested, so they come back. Thus, the more unique and relevant content you have published your blog, your ads will be more relevant.

Remember: plagiarists content always discovered by Adsense, and end up having their accounts canceled. Always Be original!

About gains:

Google Adsense will pay an amount for each click received on advertisements (ads) arising out of your blog. In some cases, it also pays for impressions page.

In other words, your ads must be clicked by your readers (but never for you, do not forget). If your blog has a very considerable number of page impressions daily, you can receive gains, even though few readers click on ads.

The amount paid for each click can vary greatly depending on the amount of advertisers who want to advertise on Google using specific keyword.

The ads are related to your content using keywords selected by the advertiser.

When you reach the minimum limit of $ 10 in your AdSense account, the system sends to you, automatically, a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which will be mailed.

PIN is through this that your payment will be released. The PIN serves as a sort of user identification.
If you want to know more about payments, I recommend reading the articles: under Payments category
