Earn Money With Your Blog

Saturday, August 6, 2011

Earn money directly to the Internet was never easy, neither in the times of the bubble. Place banner ads on websites was also seen as amateur, generally put up a banner for a company of a friend for free, dreaming attract advertisers. When they came, nobody knew how much to charge.

Google (when they) changed that. With AdSense all the work was taken from the hand of the website owner, we only have to produce content and see the money trickle. Of course, if your site has a huge audience and quality content (not the case here) will be surprised. See the rest of the matter and join the AdSense and earn money...

Demystifying

First of all: If you have a site with eight visits / month talking about the reproductive habits of mycobacterium on medicine bottles, forget it. The relationship click / visit a web ad is low. Let's face it, no one clicks on ads. Only if the content is very important, phase of the moon to help, the third eye of the user is aligned with us.

You will not get rich with it here, unless the folks at Gizmodo, the Fark, Slashdot. Other than that, can we live.

A friend has a fairly popular blog. I urged her to put the AdSense link. She put a banner modest. Result? In 20 days has already covered the cost of hosting. So simple. Got it? The blog already paid! And she does not invest much in content update. The secret?

Web ads are not Field of Dreams, is not "build it and they will come." You need two things to win some money with Google:

1. Specialized Content
2. Relevant ads

Let's study them:

Specialized Content

That's it. Simple, right? No. It is not simple. A generic blog like this one attracts people of all kinds, but has little return. No one around to see what's new, one story can be very interesting to someone, but if it's just one of 15 uninteresting, there is no reason to save the link site.

Choose a theme, work on it, create content instead of getting third-party news passing the time. Build a qualified audience. This ensures return.

On the topic, remember that you can aspire to Fortune and Glory (tm Indiana Jones) but will only have the two if your audience has a bit of Dim-Dim, otherwise one is left only with the Glory, which does not help when His belly is collect the rent at the end of the month. Sites like techcrunch and with very high visitation cannot make big things in advertising, just for speaking to an audience of living allowance.

Review of private jets is not a good subject. While it is a qualified audience and with bullet in the needle, is not exactly a stadium or place where audience get together.

Find a middle ground, handcuff him and to not deviate by more than tempting. This will greatly increase the ratio click / visit.

Relevant Ads

At the time that the banners were manual, not matter what was on the page, where you came, even the language used. One guy in Northern MiserĂ¡bia using a TCP / IP link via carrier pigeons would see the same banners of Madonna visiting New York. This meant that for 90% of the public, their banner was just garbage.

Google changed that. AdSense not only analyzes the content of your page (dynamically) but also analyzes the origin of the visitor. Palms talking about a page will show ads related to a PDA, and, if possible, a related announcement geographically with the visitor.

Another day was in Campinas, got in my micro site of a friend. Not only relevant ads appeared, as several ads for companies in the region. That is differentiation.

Modus Operandi

The concept is to make the Adsense ad not an outstanding part of your site. Text ads (my favorites) are small, do not take hours to download and are not intrusive. Google has made an excellent choice for not using Flash and other swineherd that only serve to distract your attention. Those horrible POP-UP are also not acceptable to Google. MUCH LESS DHTMLs opening images in your face, top the content and require clicks.

In the AdSense site is a lot of examples of ad placement. You can change details such as color, border, background and match the ad with your site. You can filter competitors, choose language, everything.

The steps to join the AdSense and put it running are simple:

1 - Fill in the Registry, indicating your site
2 - Wait for approval of the site (some content is not allowed)
3 - Set colors, choose formats and copy the provided HTML
4 - Put the code in your site, in the desired
5 - Monitor near real-time reporting of clicks

Google sends checks to the money in the world. The initial volume is $ 100, but you can ask that money be withheld until it reaches higher amount. This is useful in many places, as cashing checks in U.S. dollars is very expensive there.

Your only obligation is to avoid the media as objectionable content, prohibited or low level. Otherwise you will only see institutional ads that do not yield anything. If you want an example, click on my pages of questionable content, prohibited or low level.

Registration

Registration is free; AdSense can be done through a banner display. To learn more, sign up and begin to earn money, I recommend you to read the following topics as it would be very beneficial for you.

How To Increase Adsense Earning

Friday, August 5, 2011

Who is the affiliate program for monetization of sites Google Adsense has seen a sharp drop CPM since last year, anxious to increase your Adsense earnings in many users procural ways to optimize their sites / blogs. Here are some tips how to increase your CTR and CPM and thus boost their earnings.

1. Use the tags and the parts of your site where you want to read the Adsense content, preferably so that it displays advertisements related to the text that is between these tags.
Example:

" Download the best free mobile ringtones, send free sms, download games for your phone, all operators and all mobile phone models "

An example like the one above in one, you most likely will return to your site, ads for ringtones and mobile games, mobile phones and new. Use and abuse of this code is very useful. You can put as many times as you want on each page.

With it, you will help prevent the display Adsense ads unrelated to your site.

2. Use the larger banners that Adsense has, and place on your website. Try to place on the left side and center of the site. If you have space, place on top. If you have only the right side and the bottom, forget dreaming about Adsense on these sites, yields very little.

3. Use link bars whenever you can. The size 728 × 15 are the best, and make great profits. If possible, place these on top of the site.

4. Color: This is one of the most important tips, and can double your income (for me it was like) - Place all the ads and links in standard colors of Google, and only text ads. If you are not in the colors of Google, when you put on your site, create a new table of colors, the colors of the google, and use it as default for all your ads.

5. Keep a small list of filtered sites. Yes, I know it's not legal, because they have multiple ads that have nothing to do with your site, but if you have a huge list of filtered sites, Smart Pricing takes a lot, and Google lowers your CTR and eCPM to levels crying with rage, it's terrible, I got through that and I know the agony of seeing the numbers dropping. Keeping a small list of filtered sites, my CTR and eCPM increased much, the next day, five days after suffering without knowing of the existence of Smart Pricing. Block only the worst ads, preferably those that appear in their most visited pages.

6. Go on the "My Account" at the bottom of the page, edit the options of "preference ads." So let:
Only text ads in all ad units.

Font Family "Verdana" in all ad units.
For me, rose 1.5% CTR, with this change. Very good.

I put up all these steps into practice, my CTR to go from 2% to 6% average per day.

With these tips, if your income does not increase much after 24 hours, with all these tips put into practice, you can swear, that I accept.

Insert Adsense Ads Within Posts On Blogger

Wednesday, July 27, 2011

Have you ever checked a way to monetize your blog with Google Adsense. It gave How to register and set up account with Google Adsense.

Now we'll see about entering codes Adsense ads. In this tutorial you will check how to insert the code to display Adsense ads inside your posts in Blogger.

Well, you know that Blogger itself offers an option to insert Adsense ad units through the gadget. If you click on the "generate revenue" will open a list of configuration options for automatic display of Adsense ads.

I particularly did not like this option because it does not give greater freedom to customize the way the ads will appear on the blog. Not to mention the fact that makes the blog somewhat "heavy" advertising.

I chose to insert the Adsense code directly into the HTML template.

Today I will teach you how I did it, so you can also use the same method if you want.

As you noted, I prefer to show ads inside the post, and only in individual page. That leaves my layout more "clean" (at least I think so).

Well, the first step to be followed is: Generate the code.

First of all, it should be noted that for you to proceed with this tutorial requires that you have your Adsense account approved and has already chosen and configured the ads you want to display on your blog and have copied the codes provided by Adsense.

That done, now it will be necessary parse (Convert) the code generated Adsense, because if you enter the code without parsing it, it will give error in the HTML, because Blogger does not accept the language of HTML code directly into the template.

Parsing the code:

Go to this page BlogCrowds and paste the generated code in the box, and click "Parse".

In the box below will be provided the code already parsed (converted), copy it and save!

Place ad below the post title:

This option allows you to display the ad below the title, before the start of the post content.

Go on the "Design" >> "Edit html">> Check “Expand Widget Templates “And look for:

HTML

<div class='post-body entry-content'>

And paste the code just above this section:

CODE

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<div align='center'><br/>

<--- Parsed adsense code here --->

</ Div>
</ B: if>

At the site highlighted in green paste the code generated by Adsense you just parse the site.

In the code above I have stipulated that the ad appears only on internal pages, it will not appear on the home. If you want to appear on the homepage too, just delete the 1st and last line of code that are highlighted in red.

In part highlighted in blue, is the alignment of the ad code. In the case above I have stipulated that the ad is centered, but if you do not want to align the ad, just delete the section highlighted in blue.

If you want it to be on the left side, change "center" for "left". Right: change "center" with "right".

Place ad below the post content:

If you want you can insert ad once at the end of his article, before the footer.

Go on the "Design" >> "Edit html">> Check “Expand Widget Templates “and look for:

HTML

<div class='post-footer'>

And paste the code just above this section:

CODE

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<div align='center'><br/>

<--- Parsed adsense code here --->

</ Div>
</ B: if>

Other options:

1) Now if you happen to have installed on your blog to display the resource Biography of the Author of the post at the bottom , paste the complete code (along with the parsed Adsense code) before the code snippet to display the author's biography.

2) If you use Hack "Read More" automatic Also can paste the AdSense code parsed at the very end of the code snippet of the post, which in this case would be just below:

HTML

<div style='clear: both;'/> <! - clear for photos floats ->
</ Div>

3) If you use Blogger's own Read More, You can paste the AdSense code parsed at the very end of the code snippet of the post, which in this case would be just below:

HTML

<b:if cond='data:post.hasJumpLink'>
<div class='jump-link'>
<a expr:href='data:post.url + "#more"'> <data:post.jumpText/> </ a>
</ Div>
</ B: if>

Entering 3 Link units side by side:

If you notice at the end of my posts, the display of ads in the form of block links. In my case, I inserted three blocks and they appear side by side, in the form of a table.

If you want to use the display of the link units in this same way, I will teach you how I did, then just choose the site that you want to place the ad link unit.

CODE

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType == "item"'>
<div align='center'>

<--- Parsed adsense code here Block (1 links) --->

<td>

<--- Parsed adsense code here (link unit 2) --->

</ Td> <td>

<--- Parsed adsense code here Block (3 links) --->

</ Td>
</ Div>
</ B: if>

NOTE - Recalling that the maximum allowed by Adsense to display ads for blog banner ads are 3 + 3 ad link unit. Be careful not to exceed this limit!

Hide adsense ad static pages:

You can configure the code so that ads do not appear on static pages. To be honest I do not recommend this option, since the intention is to display ads to generate clicks, but woe is you.

The conditional elements to hide the static page is this:

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != "static_page"'>

The code should look like this:

CODE

<b:if cond='data:blog.pageType != "static_page"'>
<--- Parsed adsense code here --->
</ B: if>

How To Register and Setup Account With Google Adsense

Monday, July 25, 2011

If you are just starting to think about the possibility to monetize your blog, I suggest you start knowing Google Adsense.

Surely you've probably heard of this service.

I must confess that I am not an expert on the subject cream, but some time ago that I decided to join this service, and since then I go searching a bit more about it, because I realized that Adsense offers so many features that end up in confusing a little, especially for those who are "beginner" in the subject "monetization."

For this reason, I decided to treat about Adsense, and share with you some of what I learned about this service.

But I anticipate that there is no miracle formula to make money with blogs.

Using Google Adsense and thought something should be used as an extra income.

Gains will always depend on the quality of content you offer on your blog and especially the type of audience and number of unique visitors daily.

Just because you sign up for Adsense does not mean that your registration is approved. It is up to Google Adsense decide to approve or not.

Registering an account with Google Adsense:

Go to page Google Adsense and click "Join Now".

Enter an email from Gmail (can be the same email you use to access the Blogger dashboard, provided it is gmail)

Fill in all fields correctly. The filling is easy.

It is very important that you provide the correct payee name and address on your application, because after the approval of your AdSense account, when you reach the quota limit gains in your AdSense account, the system sends you Adsense automatically a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that must be entered in your account to keep it active. The PIN system is a form confirming your identity and address and can only be mailed.

If you have any questions regarding registration or other information about Adsense, you can also see the articles published in Official Blog Adsense's own.

On the record I also recommend reading the series: Adsense features.

After completing the registration, wait until you receive an email stating that your account was approved or not.

If approved, you should proceed to implementation phase of Adsense ads on your blog.

I suggest you watch this video which was developed by the staff of Google Adsense. In the video they teach to generate a block of ads to insert into your blog, as the guide how to add advanced reporting, and competitive ad filter.

Understanding How the service works

Before you think will win "a lot of money" with affiliate programs like Adsense, it is good that you understand a little better how this service.

About the ads:

The ads are offered for display in the form of text or images. You can choose to be displayed only text, or you can choose which banners are displayed only, or if you prefer, you can choose to display from both text and images (banners).

From what I understand about the criteria of the service, you can only display 3 banners and 3 link units per blog. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong!)

If you notice, I display two banners on my blog here: one on top of a post and the sidebar. How can the display of three, I still could display a banner over.

At the bottom of the post I chose to show three link units, thus already reached my limit display links.

You can not exceed the maximum views of Adsense ads, otherwise your account may be canceled.

Another very important point: you can not click on the ads you display on your blog, so do not be curious (a), otherwise your account may be canceled.

In short: if you do not follow all the rules set by Google Adsense, they can cancel your account permanently, so you no longer have access to or gains from the service.

More information, go to the article: Defining invalid clicks and click fraud

When choosing the type of ads you will display on your blog, take into account the balance between ads and the amount of unique content and quality of your blog. Check the type of published content that keeps your readers interested, so they come back. Thus, the more unique and relevant content you have published your blog, your ads will be more relevant.

Remember: plagiarists content always discovered by Adsense, and end up having their accounts canceled. Always Be original!

About gains:

Google Adsense will pay an amount for each click received on advertisements (ads) arising out of your blog. In some cases, it also pays for impressions page.

In other words, your ads must be clicked by your readers (but never for you, do not forget). If your blog has a very considerable number of page impressions daily, you can receive gains, even though few readers click on ads.

The amount paid for each click can vary greatly depending on the amount of advertisers who want to advertise on Google using specific keyword.

The ads are related to your content using keywords selected by the advertiser.

When you reach the minimum limit of $ 10 in your AdSense account, the system sends to you, automatically, a Personal Identification Number (PIN) which will be mailed.

PIN is through this that your payment will be released. The PIN serves as a sort of user identification.
If you want to know more about payments, I recommend reading the articles: under Payments category

If you need to ask questions, use the Adsense Help Forum.
